A day off was welcomed by all. We bypassed the Jubilee celebrations in London due to the weather forecasts and watching it on the TV we made the right decision…rain and rain.
Washing completed, a few phones calls, games of jenga, trivial pursuit and monopoly kept everyone entertained. Sunday Roast lunch at the local pub with a raised glass to Her Majesty and a drive around the country side in Wiltshire. Yesterday morning before heading to Wembley we had a walk around Salisbury and today we seeked out Stonehenge and Old Sarum, finished off with a lovely Italian meal.
The English summer rain has certainly arrived in Wiltshire, however the forecast looks fine for our T20 match tomorrow. The boys will be put to the test with a number of Hampshire Academy players in the side. Should be a craking fixture.
The coach is back on the match reports tomorrow. Stay tuned.
Sounds like a lovely, relaxing day. Next time you are near a card shop buy a pack of cards called “Wizard”. A brilliant, competitive game that will suck you all in. A game of risk, chance and, of course, luck. A game that teaches the unknowing all about suits. A great introduction to euchre, 500 and Bridge. Try it.
